(1) Preparation
· The surface must be thoroughly cleaned to ensure proper adhesion of the paint. Dust, debris, or moisture can affect the quality and durability of the markings.
(2) Measuring and Layout
· Using advanced laser or GPS-based tools, measurements are taken to accurately divide the lanes and mark the track.
· Standard dimensions include:
· Lane Width: 1.22m (minimum).
· Inner Radius: 36.5m for the innermost lane of a 400m track.
(3) Painting the Markings
· Specialized paint is applied, typically durable and weather-resistant to withstand UV exposure and wear.
Paint colors are chosen based on international norms (e.g., white for lane markings, yellow for hurdles, blue for staggered starts).
(4) Multi-Event Marking
· In addition to standard lanes, markings for field events such as long jump, high jump, shot put, and javelin are added as required.
· Separate colored lines or symbols are used to differentiate between events.
